Learning Disorder

Learning Disorders

Learning disorders are neurodevelopmental problems that interfere with learning and skills such as reading, writing, or math. Common learning disorders include dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia, each affecting different aspects of learning. Children and adults with these disorders may struggle with tasks that seem simple to others, such as reading fluently, solving basic math problems, or expressing thoughts on paper. This can lead to frustration, low self-esteem, and avoidance of school or work tasks.

Treatment

The Anxiety Center provides specialized interventions tailored to the specific learning disorder. Our approach includes educational therapy, which uses individualized and structured techniques to help overcome learning challenges. Techniques such as multisensory instruction are employed to improve reading and comprehension skills in dyslexia or manipulatives for dyscalculia to enhance math understanding. Cognitive behavioral therapy is also incorporated to address the emotional aspects related to learning difficulties, aiming to boost confidence and resilience. We equip children with strategies that leverage their strengths, enabling them to achieve academic success and personal growth.
